Nano Filtration (NF) membranes are semi-permeable membranes that operate between Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) in terms of filtration range and selectivity. They provide high rejection of bivalent ions such as calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺) and sulphate (SO₄²⁻) while allowing monovalent ions to pass selectively.
